Irene Claire Lindas was born in Vienna. From her early childhood she was enthusiastic about the piano and began private lessons at the age of seven, which eventually led her to study piano at the Conservatory, where she also received lessons in music theory and choral singing. She also graduated as a translator and interpreter (English, Italian) from the University of Vienna.
Because of her great love for children and music, she completed studies of "Teacher for Children’s Musical Education" with distinction.
